The Sun bear is an omnivorous animal, feeding on honey, insects, small animals, and some fruits

Habitat

The habitat of the Sun bear includes tropical rainforests, lowland forests, and sometimes montane (mountain) forests of Southeast Asia.

Geographic Range

The Sun bear is found in India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, southern China, and the islands of Sumatra and Borneo.

Characteristics

They are the smallest species the eight bear species. They have short fur with a U-shape making on the chest. Their body is entirely black, with a lighter patch on the muzzle and the top of the nose. Sun bears are also commonly known as honey bears.
